At present our Sunday School meets from 8:45 to 9:20 with morning worship following at 9:30. In the 8:45 classes we have three adult classes, a class for youth, and one for children as well as a nursery. We have very capable and dedicated teachers. Come and join us!
Worship Services
9:30 a.m. -- Traditional worship service with Lectionary
readings, choir, liturgy and great music. Sermons are
based on the Lectionary readings, following the Christian
Calendar.
6:00 p.m. -- Less formal worship service with lots of
congregational singing. Sermons are based on Gospel
Harmony, looking at the events in the Gospels in chronological
order.
Holy Communion
Also known as the Eucharist and the Lord's Supper, we celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month hear at the church. We also serve a communion at our 11:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship. The Lord's table is not a Methodist table, but God's table. It is open communion. All who love Christ, all who earnestly repent of their sins and seek to live a peach with one another are invited to the table when Holy Communion is celebrated.
Choir Practice
Every Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. we gather together to praise the Lord through the ministry of music. Whether you enjoy singing the good old hymns or want to learn new songs of praise, you definitely don't want to miss out on our practices. The ministry of music is a powerful ministry in itself, and we would love to have you join in the experience with us.
United Methodist Women
Mount Carmel's United Methodist Women are a very active group within our church. The UMW take a strong role throughout our area to reach out to the community. All women are invited to attend any of the meetings as well as take part in their monthly activities.
